Farming

Last night we were going to take Jace farming with Pop (Tom) and Farmer Kyle (my cousin). As we were on our way out there they had decided to stop combining corn and switch to sugar beets which would take a couple hours for the change over. I knew Jace would not handle not being able to go farming because he was so excited so we meet Kyle in the combine and he got to ride about 10 miles back to the farm. Jace's exact words "this combine is HUGE"!!!
I asked him if I should ride with and he told me no, to go home mom
Times have really changed since I have been farming last, they make a passenger seat in the cab now. No more sitting on laps or a 1 inch arm rest.

When they got back to the farm Kyle thought this would be a cool picture, Jace is on top of the combine cab.

After the combine ride Jace wanted to ride with Pop in the tractor.

And drive Truck

Pop taught him where the big air horn was. Jace was pretty proud he could make that much noise!!

Supervising on what needed to be done next

Jace even had to get grandma in the truck to haul sugar beets too
I asked Jace what are sugar beets and he told me they make suckers, cookies, candy and milk.

Sully's Hill

We took a drive out to Sully's Hill just outside of Devils Lake today with Christopher's dad Butch. I was quite amazed that there were wild buffalo there. There were 4 baby buffalo and one was only about a month old. I couldn't get any pictures of the little one it was hiding on the other side of it's mom. It was a beautiful drive through the park with all the trees changing color.
This one was right out my window. I was scared to roll it down to take a picture. I didn't want a buffalo in my car!!

There were also Prairie Dogs, I didn't realize that they really bark like dogs.

Jace and Pop Butch

Last Saturday was Christopher's Birthday, my mom and Tom took us all out to eat at Texas Roadhouse. They told the waitress it was his birthday and he was all excited to maybe get free birthday dessert. He was really surprised what they did instead of that dessert. They brought out a saddle that you have to sit on and they announce to everyone that it's your birthday and asked everyone to give a big birthday YeeHah! He was very embarrassed but at least Jace loved it!!!!

Last Sunday we were the Sponsors for Jaxtin.

James, Keisha, Nicole, Jaxtin and Chris

Ahhh so handsome

Fun with Grandma and Pop

Jace had so much fun with his Grandma and Pop. Jace helped grandma make Apple Crisp with the apples from our tree.

He helped Pop make a tool bench just his size!

Parade

It was Headwater Day's in Breckenridge and they had a Parade. Jesse, Wyatt and Mallori all joined us. As you can see it is always chaotic when Jesse and Jace get together they are always doing something to each other!!

All of Jace's candy he got at the Parade

Jace riding Bike

Jace has been practicing riding his bike all summer. We would get on it for a minute try to pedal and he would get mad because he couldn't do it. Over Labor Day weekend he got on his bike and away he went ~ I could not believe it!! He can cruise on it now.
