Santa

I took Jace to see Santa last Saturday, he came to Breckenridge on the train! Jace was so excited to see Santa this year and was not one bit scared! He made the front page of the Daily News Newspaper, the pictures was so cute of him and Santa. Jace was pretty proud to have his picture on the front page (so was mom and dad).

When we ask Jace what he wants for Christmas he tells us a garbage truck with a handle to dump the garbage and a dinosaur. I am not sure where he saw the garbage truck but they really make them and I think Santa knows what to bring Jace :)

Update

Well we are still not moved in yet......we figure it is best to get everything done before we move in. The walls just got textured last night and we have to wait 24 hours before we prime them, it looks great already! I am really hoping to be all moved in by Sunday night but we'll see, I am wearing Tom out by all the demands! :) Jace has his 3 year old pictures tomorrow so we'll see how that goes, he doesn't like the camera anymore. As soon as we get the proofs back from Jace's pictures I will scan them and post them on the blog. I can't wait to get pictures of the house too. As soon as they get posted that means the house is done and we will be moved in!

House Update

Well we got the keys to the house last Wednesday night, we started scraping wall paper and planned to get all the painting done this weekend. I don't think that will happen! We ran into a few set backs, when we scraped wallpaper the Sheetrock is not finished underneath in the kitchen, bathroom and downstairs bathroom. We called a friend of ours to come patch it up and texturize the walls. There was an overhang over the kitchen cabinets with some can lights, when we were scraping wallpaper in the kitchen we noticed the saufet above the kitchen cabinets was made out of some cheap wood and not Sheetrock we we decided to tare that down. Got down to the original saufet and found out that was made out of wood too.....Tom had lots of fun with the sledge hammer :) They used every kind of screw and nail possible I think some were even going into the shingles they were so long. The guy that owned the house was Tim the Tool Man, things were just not up to par. I am happy with the results above the cabinets that they are now open above, it really opened up the kitchen. Tom has the downstairs painted ~now if the rest of the house could just paint itself, wave the magic wand POOF we would be back on schedule. My mom and I went shopping last night for a new toilet, light fixtures and a few other things. While we were shopping Tom called and said to get a new toilet for the downstairs bathroom too. We laughed so hard, when people ask what we got for Christmas we can say His and Her toilets :) I will post some pictures of the before and after when we get done. We are hoping to be in, in a few weeks.

Deer Hunting

Tis the season for deer hunting....Chris got this 10 point buck last Sunday. He thought it was a pretty nice deer but not quite as big as James' Monster Kill!!!

Jace was really scared of it at first he has never seen a deer like this.

He was so excited to get his picture with dad's big deer!
Jace and I took the deer to the Fairmount Locker yesterday, I took him out of the truck when the guys were unloading the deer because he wanted to see it. Bad mistake because then we had to go inside to give our name and what we wanted, well he took us through the back way and that is where they were skinning the deer. I think there were about 10 hanging deer with no skin on them, Jace didn't know what to think ~ I have never heard him so speechless. I think he was petrified but didn't say a word. When we got home I had him tell what he saw and all he said was it was really scary! He did sleep last night so at least he didn't have nightmares about dead deer! I might have ruined him on the hunting thing :(

Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music

My mom and I took Jace to Sesame Street Live in Fargo at the Fargodome last Saturday. It was a blast! I don't know who had more fun.......I took 58 pictures and video's I think this was the hardest blog to choose what pictures I would use!

Jace picking out what he wanted to buy.

He picked out an Elmo spinning light

Jace and Grandma

Grandma bought him a new hat and Elmo binoculars

And Cotton Candy

Bert and Ernie

The letter of the day was J

Disco Bert

Jace was singing and dancing through out the show!

The ABC'S

Jace singing along with the ABC's

Big Bird singing Rockin' Robin

C is for Cookie

This was the only song I was waiting for to get on video. I was helping my mom with her camera and I almost missed it and I forgot to zoom in. This is Jace's favorite song, Pop (Tom) sing this to him all the time! You can hear in the video Jace saying this is pop's song! (This was pop's favorite song as a kid too)

Cookie Mamba

Fall Fun

The other day Jace wanted to go feed the ducks so my mom and I took him down to the park.

There were lots of hungry ducks!

My big helper!

Jace loved to rake up the leaves. He even helped our neighbors Jim and Marybeth rake! This was the first time that he really got to play in the leaves too, he would run and jump in them and kick them all over.

4th Annual Pumpkin Carving

We had our annual pumpkin carving at my aunt and uncles house last Saturday. The kids all brought their costumes and we tried to take some pictures.

Bodin was so scared of Jesse the Werewolf!

So we thought if he was on the other side it would be better. This pictures is so cute it looks like Jace is telling Bodin that it's OK don't be scared.

Jaxtin the Kangaroo, Caylie the Devil, Nevaeh the Poodle, Jesse the Werewolf, Jace the Cowboy and Bodin the Skunk

Little Jaxtin just hangin out, he was so good all day!

Before we started carving pumpkins we went to pick apples off Barb's tree.

We weren't tall enough to get the really big red ones so Christopher was bending the branch down to reach them.

I was helping Jesse use the apple picker and well it didn't quite work they way it should. The apple didn't fall in the picker~it landed on Christopher's head!

Let the carving begin...........

Amy, Sara and Jesse picking out what picture they wanted to carve

They kids usually start gutting the pumpkins and then the big kids finish them

My mom and Bodin took the easy way out and did Mr. Potato Head pumpkins

They turned out so cute!

The Final Pumpkins

This is the one I carved

My mom carved 3 dancing ghosts

This is the one Keisha and Nevaeh carved. We had a little dilemma with this one...after Keisha was done with it Bodin accidentally knocked it over from the table, it was in 5 pieces but a few toothpicks it was back to new.
Sara and Jesse's Skeleton
And the 3 howling wolves was Christopher's, Keisha declared him the winner!

Yee Haw for Halloween!

Jace wanted to be a Doctor for Halloween but we couldn't find a kids Doctor costume so I talked him into being a cowboy. I couldn't pass up this costume I thought it was way to cute! When we went to try it on to take some pictures I told him we had to get his cowboy shirt on ~ he looked at me and said mom this is not a cowboy shirt it's my church shirt :) He can't wait to go Trick-or-Treating so he can get lots of candy!

Galloping around making horse sounds
